The conservation area encompasses most of the built village except for the properties on the south side of the Causeway and to the north of Penmaen on Low Road. The conservation area covers a total of 13.17 hectares.
The conservation area predominantly consists of residential properties.
There are 2 listed buildings within the conservation area: Wyberton House Park (Grade II* - c. 1689) and St Leodegar's Church (Grade I - Originally late C12 rebuilt c.1420. Chancel rebuilt 1760. Restored by George Gilbert Scott Junior c.1880).
