Wainfleet

The bulk of the conservation area includes the properties either side of High Street and St John Street and extends northwards to incorporate parkland between Skegness Road and Spilsby Road. It also extends southwards around the Steeping river and parkland of Wainfleet Hall. The conservation area covers a total area of 36.38 hectares.

The conservation area is predominantly residential but also contains a concentration of commercial properties on High Street. A number of small industrial units can also be found within the conservation area.

There are 23 listed buildings and 88 unlisted buildings of local importance within the conservation area. All of the listed buildings are Grade II listed except for the market cross (Grade II* - c. 15th century) and Magdalen College School (Grade I - School, now public library. 1484, restored 1585, 1608, 1755, 1856, C20) which is Grade I, the site is also a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
