The Dell

A compact and suburban conservation area occupying an area of 0.74 hectares and covering 28 and 30 Wragby Road; originally a single property in a large garden which is now sub-divided into two dwellings and gardens.

The unlisted building, a fine example of a detached Victorian villa, stands in mature-wooded grounds enclosed by a 2m fence covered with evergreen foliage. The only clear view of the house and grounds is from the drive entrance on Wragby Road.

The conservation area includes one Scheduled Ancient Monument; 19th century lime kilns in the south-west corner of the garden, and 63 trees with Tree Preservation Orders. There are no listed buildings within the conservation area.
