A compact conservation area which occupies an area of 2.38 hectares and consists of three main groups of buildings; Thorpe Farm and its outbuildings, The Mill and the cottages to the north and south of it and the Waterside cottages.
There are 3 listed buildings within the conservation area including Tealby Thorpe watermill (II*).
