Tattershall

The conservation area includes all of the land between Sleaford Road and the River Bain between the southern edge of the Tattershall castle site and the boundary of the Old Vicarage. The conservation area also extends to encompass the Market Place, the south side of Granary Lane and also some properties on the south side of Lodge Road. In total the conservation area covers 17.02 hectares.

The conservation area is predominantly residential but also contains a number of commercial properties in the Market Place.

There are 21 listed buildings in the conservation area and 1 unlisted building of local importance. All of the listed buildings are Grade II except for The Old College (Grade II*), Tattershall Castle, the moat walls at Tattershall Castle, the Stable ruins at Tattershall Castle, the ticket office and shop at Tattershall castle, the round towers of Tattershall Castle, the kitchen ruins at Tattershall Castle, the Market Cross and the Church of the Holy Trinity which are all Grade I. Tattershall College, the Market Cross and The Old College are also Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
