The conservation area covers the whole of the built village except for several properties on Hainton Road and is 9.64 hectares in size.
The conservation area is mainly residential with a few agricultural properties.
The conservation area contains 7 listed buildings all of which are Grade II listed except for St martin’s Church (Late C13, mid C14, C16, 1838) which is Grade II*.
