The conservation area incorporates all of those properties on Main Road between Park Avenue and North Beck Lane. It also includes parkland to the west of North Beck Lane as well as the church and churchyard and The Grange to the east side. The conservation covers a total area of 15.25 hectares.
The conservation area is a mixture of residential properties and green space.
The conservation area contains 3 listed buildings, all of which are Grade II, and 1 unlisted building of local importance.
