Branston

The conservation area appears to have two distinct parts: the grounds of Branston Hall and the historic core of the village. The historic core occupies the eastern end of the conservation area and includes the entire current built village south of the High Street except for Villa Close and Oaklands. The boundary also extends to the north of the High Street to include properties and individual plots of land abutting the road. The rest of the conservation area boundary encompasses most of the grounds of Branston Hall as well as sections of land south of Hall Lane. The conservation area has a total area of 47.48 hectares.

The conservation area is a combination of green space (i.e. the grounds of the Hall) and residential properties.

The conservation area contains 14 listed buildings and 5 unlisted buildings of local importance. All of the listed buildings are Grade II except for the All Saints Church (C11, C12, C13, C14, C15, 1836. Restored by Sir G G Scott 1876. Restored again after fire in 1962 by F C Davis) which is Grade II*.
