Bassingham

The conservation area covers the historic village and is located between the River Witham to the west and Carlton Road and Lincoln Road to the east. It stretches from Whites Lane in the south to just north of Eastgate in the north. Most of the properties included in the conservation area front onto either High Street or Newark Road. The conservation area covers 13.90 hectares.

The conservation area is predominantly residential in nature.

The conservation area contains 9 listed buildings and 4 unlisted buildings of local importance. All of the listed buildings are Grade II except for the Grade II* listed Church and churchyard of St Michael and All Angels (Cll, C12, C13, C15. 1782 by Thomas Bell and restored 1860 by J H Hakewill).
