The conservation area is square shaped and covers those properties adjoining Main Street/Mill Road and Mill Lane except for a number of properties to the east of the hamlet. Houblon Inn to the north of the hamlet marks the northern extent of the conservation area. The conservation area covers a total of 6.12 hectares.
The conservation area is primarily residential with a small number of current and former agricultural buildings.
The conservation area contains 4 Grade II and 1 Grade II* listed buildings. The Grade II* listed building is Oasby Manor House (C17 incorporating some reused C15 work with substantial C19 alterations).
