The conservation area is essentially linear as it encompasses the whole of East End north-west of Bourne Road except for those properties in the Deer Park Road development. The conservation area also includes a few properties to the south-west of Bourne Road/north-west of West End. The conservation area covers a total of 10.17 hectares.
The conservation area is predominantly residential.
The conservation area contains 10 listed buildings including the Grade I listed Cottage (early 18th century) and St Michael’s and All Angels’ church (early 13th century origins).
