The conservation area is square in nature and is centred on the junction of four thoroughfares: Boston Road South, Church Street, West End and High Street.
The conservation area is a mixture of residential and commercial properties.
There are 10 Grade II and 1 Grade I listed buildings in the conservation area. The Grade I listed building is the Church of All Saints (c.1340-c.1380, c. 1400, early C15, early C18, restored 1867).
