The conservation area runs along Main Road from the junction with Doctors Lane before heading south following the boundaries of All Saints church, Dunsby Hall and Dunsby House. The boundary then turns north across Dunsby Drove, following field boundaries and the rear of building plots to the east of Main Road. It then cuts west across North End Farmyard and Main Road before following natural field boundaries to Doctors Lane and back to Main Road. The conservation area covers a total of 10.99 hectares.
The conservation are predominantly contains residential properties but also contains a number of agricultural buildings.
There are 11 listed buildings in the Dunsby conservation area including the Grade I listed All Saints’ Church that dates back to the early 12th century.
