Deeping St James

The conservation area boundary covers the properties on either side of Bridge Street and Church Street between New Row to just past Stephens Way (but excluding 7 late 20th century properties to the north of Bridge Street). The conservation area also includes the Grounds of Priory Farmhouse as well as St James churchyard and sections of Church Gate, Broadgate Lane and Stephens Way. The conservation area covers a total of 20.12 hectares.

The conservation area is essentially residential in nature.

There are 10 listed buildings within the conservation area including 2 Grade I listed (St James’ church and a collection of table tombs in the churchyard) and 1 Grade II* listed (Priory Farmhouse).
